FAMILY SUITE

Following completion of our newly built extension, we can now offer families during the palliative care stage complimentary, overnight, self contained accommodation. This facility is in line with our care values at the home and our on going commitment to respond to our families wishes, and the Gold Standard Framework in End of Life Care. Family carers naturally want to be near their loved ones during an end of life care journey, but need their space to retreat to from time to time.
We know how important it is that all the family can be together, and to be involved in giving care when possible. Our new Family Suite includes a self contained hotel style accommodation, with its own entrance and exit.
Generally, we encourage families using our Family Suite to take the opportunity to have a much needed break. With that in mind, the accommodation has been created primarily for families of residents who are with us for End of Life Care, but some exceptions can sometimes be made for families and indeed friends of our respite residents for overnight accommodation.
The new Family Suite is based on the first floor of the home with private secure entrance, and away from residents bedrooms and features the following accommodation:
• King size bed for up to 2 adults
• Kitchen area with toaster, kettle, fridge, washing machine, oven, coffee making facilities, dishwasher and fridge freezer
• Sitting area
• Large screen TV
• Large en-suite bathroom with sink, toilet and level access shower
• WiFi
• Telephone access
• Private entrance
